Pass
Plus
After passing your test, the first thing
on your mind is probably "What car am I going to drive?".
With insurance prices always on the increase, the more important question
is "What car can I AFFORD to drive?". Everyone knows that
being under 25 years of age means paying higher premiums, but are you
aware that inexperience behind the wheel also comes with higher premiums?
The Pass Plus is a short course taken after you have
passed your driving test. When you have completed the course, it will
entitle you to either a discount on your insurance or an automatic no
claims bonus when you first insure your car with one of the major insurance
companies that support this scheme.
The Government developed the course with the assistance
of the Driving Standards Agency and leading insurance companies, to
improve driving skills in areas where you have little or no practice.
This in turn will reduce the risk of you being involved in an accident.
The Pass Plus course covers the following 6 modules:
- Town Driving
- All weather driving
- Night driving
- Out of town driving and rural roads
- Dual carriageway driving
- Motorway Driving
